Print que question. HELP PLEASE URGENT!?

Posted in Printers on July 29th, 2008

i printed something really bad by accident but it didn’t print yet because the computer downstairs is off (i have a laptop). In he print que, i deleted two pages that were only 2 KB in a second. the other one that’s 6.55 MB, is still according to its Status “Deleting” i pressed cancel on the document about 9-10 minutes ago and its still “deleting”

1)

will it delete by morning?

2)how long will it take to delete?

3)if it still “deleting” status, but still in the que, will the printer print it anyway?

Asnswer please i really need help!

Answer:
If the printer you’re prinitng to is hooked up to another personal that’s powered off it won’t print to it. You can try rebooting your Personal computer and then try deleting the print job again.

It should only take a few seconds to delete a print job. If it is in a hung state rebooting might fix it.

Answer:
Right click on the printer in your toolbar, and select “Pause printing” this will ensure, if in the EXTREMELY unlikely circumstance that it doesn't delete it, it will not print. Just remember to un-pause it later. Again, it is extremely unlikely that it will still be deleting in the morning.

Unifox's information is also correct. It will not print until the computer the printer is connected to is powered on.
