Hooking up a new printer?

I bought a new Lexmark ( 2600 series ) to hook up to my Dell personal and after going thru all of the steps word for word, I still get a connection error message..I’ve used each USB port I have , and still get that message…Can anyone help me??

OK, 1st clear driver and remove your printer, reboot, check under control panel (printers) see if the printer is loading up. If you see the printer, delete it. reboot again, check for printer again, if the printer is not showing at this point turn off you computer and follow all your steps, good luck

Hi Mate, have you installed the driver?
After you install the driver, it should work fine..
but if there's still a problem, there might be a technical issue with the printer..
