Or, you boot into safe mode - reset the screen resolution and see if that helps.

Usually it should just time out and revert back to the previous resolution that worked. If not, the easiest thing to do is reboot, hold F8 before Windows starts booting and a list should pop up. Use the arrow keys to choose Last Known Good Configuration. And if that doesn't work, use Safe Mode.

you wait, as there’s a count down timer (i think 20 seconds) that if you dont push ok, it will reset to your previous setting.
