Which Graphics Card should I purchase?

Posted in Hardware on July 29th, 2008

The personal I am looking at getting does not have a very good graphics card (on board) but the computer has no PCI-E slots so it has PCI (its a Dell Inspiron 530s not being custom built). It has Vista Home Premium, 4 GB RAM, 640 GB HD, an Intel Duo Processer, and I think it has 5 PCI slots. I am trying to find one that is under $100 so what are the best cards out there that are less than $100?

Thanks!!!

Answer:
Inspiron 530s all have PCI-Express x16 slots. In your price range you could get a Radeon HD 3850, which is a good card for 99$.

Both under $100 with rebate, both quality cards as well.

Note that this is poorer quality card that is more costly if you buy from Ideal Buy

I know this isnt the best graphics card, but almost all of them require PCI-E slots. This card only takes a PCI slot so it should work in your personal fine. If you want to check out bb and cc's websites, just make sure that the graphics card you buy only requires PCI.
