can i safely remove it? or its ok?

Answer:
There are some hard drives that do plug into the tower, via a special port. The port has a tiny switch on it. You flip it, and the drive can be pulled out and replaced with another.

This does not mean, however, that YOUR hard drive is indeed removavle. It it is not plugged into the special drive bay, then it is a permanant drive, due to the way it was physically istalled…. IF You don’t have the sepcial port/bay, it is mounted inside the Personal computer like any other drive.

Answer:
If it is an external Hard drive that you just plugged in, then it is a removable device.

you can safely remove it. or just unplug it

normally i dont see how an internal sata hard drive would show up as an removable device, unless its eSata maybe.
