If a computers power supply can support SLI, should it be able to support Crossfire?

No, Sli is different from Crossfire, two different technologies, though both are video.
Your motherboard must be Crossfire ready in order to support this technology. Check your motherboard manual because often both are supported, but sometimes just one or the other.

no.. it cant.. its aint compatible.. the system wouldn’t recognize them.. even it working,its not compatible at all and worst than a single card

SLI is the technical designation for that technology, but I forget exactly what it stands for. It was given a “consumer-friendly” name by ATi, “CrossFire”.

Yes there's a pretty good chance an SLi PSU can also support Crossfire. Just check the AMP rating on the PSU's 12v rails (stuck on the back of the PSU itself) as some ATi cards draw a lot of amps.
