Answer:
first of all, you need to look at getting a better motherboard, the one you chose doesn't support the 1066MHz speed of your RAM, so your RAM will only run at 800MHz. Also, you are probably going to want more than one PCI Express x16 slot so you can upgrade with another video card in the future.

here’s the motherboard that i suggest for you:

it has more PCI slots and it has support for the Patriot RAM that you’ve selected. BONUS: it has a WiFi antenna built right into it. I own one of these, it rocks! trust me.

I like your CPU, but make sure that you get a very nice CPU fan so you can do some overclocking (probably won't need to but why not).

this one is VERY nice, made by Zalman, top of the line. Blows the air right into the back fan instead of straight up for a quick escape.

And onto your choice in video card, shame shame. the ATI you selected won’t go with the motherboard that you picked, you need to have a PCI Express 2.0 slot to run it, the motherboard you picked had only one PCI Express x16 slot, no-go.

I would recommend this:

as i am a fan of nVidia and they usually perform superior for gaming.

but if you are dead-set on getting that ATI (which is a nice card) then I would state to def. go for two of them in crossfire. ATIs tend to do better w/ multiple video cards. and also if you are going w/ the ATI then get this mobo:

this one is very nice, it has 2 PCI Express 2.0 slots, so you can run 2 Video Cards (which i suggest highly). BUT, it does not have the onboard WiFi, you will need to get a USB or PCI WiFi adapter.

I hope this serves you well. GOOD LUCK!

Answer:
You can get MUCH better hardware if you’re on a $2000 budget. Here's what I suggest

Motherboard: Intel DX48BT ($250)

Video card: Radeon HD 4870 ($300)

RAM: 4GB DDR3 (around $200)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 ($330)

Right there that’s $1080, throw in a 1920×1200 monitor, a 500GB Hard Drive, an Optical Drive, Vista Premium, a nice ZALMAN cpu fan, and a nice full tower case, and a 700W power supply you're looking at around $1800-$2000. But you’re getting extremely nice hardware. The parts you picked out would be better for people around a $1000 budget. But anyway, don't listen to that guy about the 8800GT, the 8800GTS, or the HD 4850. I’ve an HD 4850, and it works great, but I was on a $1200 budget. You really should get the 4870, that is probably the 3rd ideal card on the market (only too the Nvidia GTX280, and the Nvidia 9800GX2). The parts I picked would make a blazing fast personal that’ll be nice for a long time too come. Oh and buy your parts from Newegg.com. Great shipping. I ordered an entire personal on a wednesday at 11:00 P.M., and recieved it at about 2:00 P.M. on a friday.

Answer:
well it will all work together but a 3850 is not the best gaming card. YOu stated you had a budget of up to $2000 so you can afford a bit more expensive card. I would state one of these will do:

Any one of these cards will work well for gaming and wouln't break the bank.

Personally i use the 8800gts 512mb. It will run everygame maxed out very smoothly. This card is about the same as the 4850(the difference in frames per second was like 1 or 2 at most and it sometimes the 8800was ahead and sometimes the 4850 depending on game and graphic settings resolution. The 8800gt is the slowest but is still a very good card about 5-15% less performance than the other cards i would say)

One thing is to make sure that first of all your pc power supply is powerful enough to support the card you wish to use and second of all your pc case is huge enough to fit the card.

Good luck
